A hybrid resulted from a cross between Begonia dregei and B. chlorosticta, inheriting the best of both parents. It features fine hairs on its surface and a toothed margin of green foliage that is finely spotted in silvery-green. It produces many numerous pale pink flowers all year round. Preferably, place the plant under partial to deep shade to retain its colouration and prevent leaf burns. Provide the plant with a sharp-draining potting substrate and water when the top layer is dry to touch. The ideal temperature range lies between 26-28°C; suitable to be grown outdoors in Singapore as long as they are kept away from direct sunlight.
Light: Place the plant in a well-ventilated area whereby it can receive 4-6 hours of bright (preferably indirect) sunlight daily.
Water: Once a day, water the plants thoroughly till excess water drains out of the pot. Do not allow the potting substrate to dry out completely.
Temperature: Plant tolerates temperatures from 18-29°C.
Fertilizer: An all-purpose, water-soluble balanced fertilizer that contains an equal amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (e.g. N-P-K: 15-15-15 +TE) will help to boost the plant's overall health by feeding it every two weeks. Otherwise, a slow-release fertilizer (e.g. Osmocote) can be incorporated into the potting media, and to be replenished after about 2-3 months. Do follow the recommended dosage indicated on the fertilizer’s application instructions.
