Tender Loving Care Advice for Sanseveria trifasciata ‘Moonshine” in ceramic pot :
Sanseveria trifasciata ‘Moonshine” is an evergreen herbaceous perennial succulent. Sanseveria’s popularity as an indoor pot plant is not only due to its attractiveness and durability but also to purify air-in particular, for the removal of benzene and formaldehyde from home and offices.
The glossy and smooth-textured leaves are broad and reflex, coated with exotic light silvery grey-green colour. It is an easy-care plant, it performs best in good light or sunny locations. Exposure to prolonged low-light conditions will result in leaves that are featureless, lacking in good shape and coloration.
Though this dwarf cultivar loves to be pot-bounded, thinning of overcrowded clumps and replanting helps to reduce overcrowding and distortion of new rosettes. It is relatively free from pests or diseases.
Light: Filtered light to full sun or partial to full shade are acceptable. This plant is not particular to light levels.
Water: Needs little water and is very drought tolerant. Allow soil to dry out between watering.
Soil: It prefers well-drained loamy soil although it is adaptable to all kind of soil types.
Fertilizer: The plants required light dose fertiliser for good growth.
Others: Mildly toxic to pets.
