Tender Loving Care Advice for Pilea Peperomioides in Blue ceramic pot :
Pilea Peperomioides, also known as Chinese Money Plant, Coin Plant or Pancake Plant. It is a hardy plant that is simple to care for. It needs bright and indirect light, and to be watered once the top inch of their soil is completely dry. To obtain a round, dome-like Pilea, it is important to rotate the plant every few days. This plant is non-toxic to pets.
Light: It prefers medium to bright light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight that can scorch its foliages.
Water: Allow the plants to dry between watering. They are highly sensitive to overwatering. Avoid watering the crown. Light misting/ sitting the base substrate in water for short duration once/ week would be sufficient.
Soil: It prefers well drained potting soil with some compost and high content of perlite, loose & loamy peat.
Fertilizer: Feed the plants every 1-2 months with small amount of controlled-release fertilizer, Nitrocote or Organic -pellets.
Others: In general, it prefers medium to high light regime. Yellowing and dropping of leaves are usually due to poor lighting and over-watering. Can be prone to red spider mites and mealy bugs. Regular check is required on foliage to avoid infestation of pests.
